SCREENSHOTS
The challenge
A local grocery store serves everyday shoppers, many on low-end phones and slow connections, ordering in Bangla. The store had to handle a large product catalogue across many categories, stay fast, and make ordering simple enough for first-time online shoppers — including cash-on-delivery, which local customers expect.
The approach
Build on WordPress + WooCommerce with an Elementor-designed storefront, organised around clear product categories and a short path from product to order. Keep pages lightweight, labels in Bangla, and the checkout as short as possible with cash-on-delivery support.
Implementation
Storefront & catalogue
Set up the WooCommerce store with product categories for groceries, vegetables, fruits, fish, frozen food, and daily essentials, with Elementor-designed home and shop pages in Bangla.
Ordering & checkout flow
Configured cart and checkout with cash-on-delivery and local delivery details, keeping the steps minimal so new online shoppers can complete an order.
Mobile-first performance
Optimised layouts and images so category and product pages load quickly on the phones most local customers use.
Validation
Product, category, cart, and checkout pages were tested across desktop and mobile, test orders were placed through the cash-on-delivery flow, and Google Search Console was reviewed for crawl or indexing issues after launch.
Outcome & learnings
A full online grocery store that lets a local Bashurhat shop take orders online in the customers' own language — the most recent project in this portfolio.
